Therapeutic Massage

Manual Medicine for Feet and Knees

To get to the next level in bodywork a therapist must show the ability to work on body changes in clients that lead to lasting positive results. As a therapist you can choose to work at the injury site or take a comprehensive look at all the visible patterns and plan a course of action. Manual Medicine class will expose you to various treatments including the use of hard/soft tissue mobilization, neuro-myo-fascial release, cerebral spinal fluid rhythms, posture and gait analysis for assessment, and muscle energy techniques. Manual medicine identifies how we hone in on delivering just enough “medicine” while we set our intentions to conserve ourselves. We identify and touch our clients with increased specificity and more exact pressure.

Day one: How do we assess and treat the Foot?  We will look at the anatomy, movements, and testing of the feet. Tissue release for the feet, ankles and calves will be explored.  We will look at how these synthesize locally at the foot and ankle, while working with the knee, hips, and into the neck.

Day two: How do we assess and treat the knee? As in day one, the anatomy, movement, and testing of the knee is covered. We also see the knee and its relation to the pelvis, and the rest of the body. Tissue release techniques for the knee.

This class is adaptable to anyone who has done massage from beginner to advanced. Regardless of your size and strength, you will learn to go deeper, see the body better, and know yourself a little more.

Neuro-Myo-Fascia web is always active, alert, and adapting faster than any part of our body. Let’s have a great time; learn, laugh, move, be still and remember why we love this work so much.

This is class 1 and 2 in a series of 12 classes, 7 hours each to complete a 84 hour certificate in Manual Medicine.

ACE Massage Cupping™ Level I

VacuTherapies ™ are an incredible modality that can be added into any massage or health care practice.  This 22 CE course includes education in theory and application of ACE Massage Cupping™ therapy, along with demonstration of both basic and advanced techniques and treatments using manual vacuum tools.  ACE Massage Cupping™ greatly enhances the benefits of massage, decreases strain on the practitioner, and increases revenues through “add-on” services.

This ancient tool has been adapted for bodywork and is powerfully therapeutic for many conditions. ACE Massage Cupping™ is effective in addressing conditions such as:  inflammation, tissue congestion, movement restrictions, scar tissue, chronic pain, and many pre and post-surgical conditions. It is also proven itself to be effective in athletic performance enhancement and medical weight loss programs, including bariatric surgery.

This versatile technique mimics massage movements ranging from deep tissue and myofascial release to the light pumping movements of lymphatic drainage.  Used regularly, ACE Massage Cupping™ therapy is a terrific approach to promoting wellness for our clients.

The three-day workshop is fun and informative, with plenty of hands-on activity. 22 CE’s for massage therapists. https://massagecupping.com/

ACE Massage Cupping™ 2 Day Basic Training

This workshop reviews the history of vacuum therapies, applications and contra-indications, and all of the foundation movements and techniques.  A demonstration will illustrate the immediate treatment applications, as well as the invaluable information that the body reveals through the lens of the cup.  This presentation will explain the effects of VacuTherapies™ on the body and how these effects can result in dramatic changes in client conditions.  As an adjunct therapy to chiropractic manipulations, medical protocols and surgical recovery, MediCupping™ therapy accelerates patient progress … leading to happy clients and increased referrals from medical professionals!

One of the most amazing aspects of this technique is the “separation” that the vacuum produces in tissue layers. This enables water absorption and renewed blood flow to undernourished and dehydrated tissue as well as the elimination of old waste and congestion.

Along with the substantial health benefits of clearing old debris, the use of suction is invaluable in releasing soft tissue, scars and restricted fascia. Sports professionals are benefiting from the ease of recovery from injury or surgery and an increase in athletic performance, and major league sports teams are utilizing the therapy. 16 CE’s for massage therapists.  https://massagecupping.com/
