North Carolina NA Registry In-Facility Test Center
On successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training course at GTCC (NA I, or NA I Refresher), you must pass the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry exam in order to be listed on the Nurse Aide I Registry. Registry listing is a requirement in North Carolina to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. GTCC is a Designated Testing Center for both the written and skills portions of the Nurse Aide Registry Exam. This allows you as a student to test in a familiar environment with equipment you are familiar with working around. To apply for your examination please refer to the link and reference the latest edition of theNorth Carolina Nurse Aide I Candidate Handbook (PDF).
YOU MAY NOT REGISTER UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM PEARSON VUE GIVING YOU A REGISTRATION LINK. Once you receive this email, you may establish your profile for testing and select your test date. As a candidate, you are strongly encouraged to test as soon as you can which provides you the best opportunity for passing the exams. The Pearson Vue registration site is http://www.pearsonvue.com/nc/nurseaides/.
Remember the Open Labs are available for you, even after you graduate, to return to GTCC and practice your skills prior to your test date.
