Career Development courses provide employability skills training and assistance for adults who are trying to find employment, transitioning back into the workforce, or working to redefine their professional niche in today’s global market. The courses are offered in short sessions to equip you with the knowledge, values, and practical skills essential to applying for, keeping, and advancing in your job. Classes are held at various times and locations including community agencies and GTCC campuses.
Career Development class enrollment is tuition-free if the participant qualifies for at least one of the following:
Received notification of a pending layoff; or
Working and eligible for the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (FEIT); or
Working and earning wages at or below two hundred percent (200%) of the federal poverty guidelines.
Participants complete an in-class registration form and tuition waiver on the first day of class.
